The artist behind this whimsical work is Alphonse Lane, a Philadelphia-area painter who has won both the Charles Firth Award of Excellence and the Tri-State Artist Equity Award. Lane’s romantic fruit and minimalistic flora are rendered in joyful strokes and vivid colors.
“I paint to express myself and set my mind free, using the visual image of Flora or Fruit as a catalysts with the colors readily at hand.”
