You're Invited: A Closing Reception for Wild Eccentric Flowers & Pears
At the Longview Gallery on June 29
This Saturday evening, June 29, will be the final opportunity to come see in person these works by artist Alphonse Lane.
The flowers, with their whimsy, represent the Flower Power of youth (and the 60s). The pears, with their softness, represent dents and markings we absorb through life experiences. As a collection, they evoke the transition we undergo over time from vibrant enthusiasm to aged wisdom.
Based in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, Alphonse has been painting the collection over the past two decades. He has won the Charles Firth Award of Excellence and the Tri-State Artist Equity Award.
Join us at the gallery for conversation among the flowers, pears, and local art community.
